The short version
- Yes, Tokyo has clubs open on weekdays. T2 SHINJUKU and WARP SHINJUKU open every night, Monday included. TIDE TOKYO and CLUB VIZEL run Wednesday to Sunday.
- Weekday cover is well below Friday/Saturday. At every partner club, men pay at least ¥1,000 less at the door than on a Friday or Saturday. Weekday cover is ¥1,000–¥2,500 for men and ¥0–¥1,000 for women. Sunday is priced like a weekday too.
- The crowd is smaller and older. Fewer students, more people coming after work. You can actually move on the floor.
- The best weeknight is Thursday. Monday and Tuesday can be very quiet. Wednesday is VIZEL’s all-you-can-drink night.
- The guest pass doesn’t do the same thing every night. Some weekday slots get a lower price, some get an extra drink, and some get nothing extra. The table below shows each club.
Most visitors assume Tokyo clubbing is a Friday and Saturday thing. Most residents know better. If your trip falls on a Tuesday, or you just finished work on a Wednesday and don’t want to go home yet, there are real nights out to be had. The big Shinjuku rooms are open, the cover is lower, and you won’t spend half the night pressed against a stranger. This guide covers which clubs are open on weeknights, what they charge compared with the weekend, and how to time a weeknight so the next morning still works.

Which Tokyo clubs are open on weekdays
| Club | Area | Weeknights | Doors |
|---|---|---|---|
| T2 SHINJUKU | Kabukicho | Every night | 10 p.m. |
| WARP SHINJUKU | Kabukicho | Every night | 9 p.m. |
| TIDE TOKYO | Kabukicho | Wed–Sun (closed Mon & Tue) | 10 p.m. |
| CLUB VIZEL | Shibuya | Wed–Sun (plus holidays) | 9 p.m. |
| THE PINK TOKYO | Kabukicho | Mainly weekends | 10 p.m. |
| CROSS ROPPONGI | Roppongi | Mainly weekends | 8 p.m. |
Opening days can change from week to week, so check before you head out. The easiest way is the guest-pass button. A club that’s closed tonight won’t issue a pass, so you can’t turn up to a locked door. For a full day-by-day picture, see Tokyo clubs open tonight.
On a weeknight, Shinjuku (Kabukicho) is the safest bet. T2 SHINJUKU and WARP SHINJUKU, both open every night, are a few minutes’ walk from each other, so if one is too quiet you can walk to the other. From Wednesday, TIDE TOKYO is close by too.
Weekday cover vs Friday/Saturday
These are the partner clubs’ own rates, as of October 15, 2026. “Weekday” means Sunday to Thursday. The night before a public holiday is charged at the Saturday rate. Clubs can change prices at any time, so check tonight’s live prices before you go.
| Club | Weekday door (men / women) | Weekday with guest pass | Fri/Sat door (men / women) |
|---|---|---|---|
| T2 SHINJUKU | Before midnight ¥1,000 / ¥500; from midnight ¥1,800 / ¥800 (1 drink) | ¥1,000 / ¥500 all night (no saving before midnight, saves ¥800 / ¥300 after) | ¥2,000 / ¥1,000 before midnight; ¥3,900 / ¥1,000 after |
| WARP SHINJUKU | Men ¥1,000 before midnight, ¥2,000 after; women ¥800 (1 drink) | Men ¥1,000 all night (2 drinks before midnight, 1 after); women free entry, no drink | Men ¥2,000 until 11 p.m., ¥4,000 after; women ¥800 / ¥1,000 |
| TIDE TOKYO (Wed, Thu, Sun) | ¥1,000 / ¥1,000 (1 drink) | Same price, 2 drinks instead of 1 | ¥2,000 / ¥1,000 |
| CLUB VIZEL (Thu, Sun) | ¥2,500 (2 drinks) / ¥1,000 (2 drinks) | Men ¥1,000 (1 drink); women no change | ¥3,500 / ¥1,000 |
| CLUB VIZEL (Wed) | ¥1,000 / ¥500, all-you-can-drink | No change: the door price is already the deal | — |
| THE PINK TOKYO | ¥2,000 / ¥1,000 (no drink) | ¥1,500 / ¥500 | ¥3,000 / ¥1,500 |
| CROSS ROPPONGI | Men ¥2,000 (1 drink); women free (2 drinks) | Men ¥1,000 (1 drink); women free (3 drinks) | ¥3,000 / free |
Three things the table shows:
- The weekday discount is built in. At T2 a man pays ¥1,000 before midnight on a Tuesday, against ¥3,900 after midnight on a Saturday. Going on a weeknight saves more than any pass.
- Midnight is the line at T2 and WARP. Arrive before midnight on a weeknight and the door is already at its lowest. The pass mostly helps if you arrive later, or at WARP, where it adds a drink.
- Some slots have no discount at all. TIDE gives an extra drink, not a lower price. VIZEL on a Wednesday is the same price with or without a pass. Women at T2 before midnight pay ¥500 either way.
Holidays are their own case. On a public holiday itself, TIDE and WARP charge their weekend rates, while the others stay at weekday prices. For what a drink costs once you’re inside, see Tokyo club drink prices.
Monday to Thursday (and Sunday), night by night
- Monday and Tuesday. The quietest nights. T2 and WARP are open (TIDE and VIZEL are closed), but the floor can feel thin before midnight. Good for a cheap, low-pressure first visit. Less good if you need a packed room.
- Wednesday. Things start to pick up. TIDE TOKYO reopens, and CLUB VIZEL's week starts here with all-you-can-drink entry (¥1,000 men / ¥500 women), which makes it the obvious Shibuya pick midweek.
- Thursday. The best weeknight. There are enough people for real energy, and it's still far from the Friday crush. Weekday prices still apply.
- Sunday. Priced like a weekday and usually relaxed. When Monday is a public holiday, Sunday is charged and feels like a Saturday.
What a weeknight crowd is like
Why weeknights work
- Room to dance; you pick your spot
- An older crowd, so you won't feel out of place in your 30s or 40s
- Lower cover, usually with a drink included
- Short or no door queues
What to expect
- Monday and Tuesday can be very quiet
- Some clubs don't open at all
- Fewer big-name guest DJs than on weekends
The people who go out on a Tuesday have decided to. Students with class tomorrow mostly stay home, and the room skews toward working adults, regulars and travelers. If you’re over 30 and wary of a teenage crowd, a weeknight is the easiest way in. See also Tokyo nightlife over 30.
After-work timing and the last train
Tokyo’s last trains leave around midnight, and the first trains start around 5 a.m. On a weeknight you have two sensible plans.
| Plan | Timing | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Early session | Dinner, in by 9–10 p.m. (WARP and VIZEL open at 9), out by about 11:45 p.m. | Work tomorrow; you get the cheapest before-midnight door at T2 and WARP |
| All the way | In around 11 p.m. to midnight, stay until first train | Travelers, or a night before a day off |
The in-between plan, leaving at 2 a.m., means a taxi. That’s fine if you know the cost. Check your own last train in Google Maps before you go in. For every way home, see getting home after the club.
Whichever plan you pick, bring your physical ID. Doors check it on quiet nights too. For visitors that means the passport itself, not a photo of it (passport rules).
Partner clubs to try on a weeknight
The four that make the most sense Sunday to Thursday. Tap a photo for the club page, or “Guest pass” to get a QR code on the spot.
The QR guest pass is free. There’s no sign-up and no prepayment. Show it at the door with your physical ID. What it gets you, a lower cover or an extra drink, depends on the club and the night, up to ¥2,000 off. On some weekday slots it adds nothing, as the price table shows. THE PINK TOKYO and CROSS ROPPONGI mainly open on weekends. If they’re open on your night, their passes work the same way.
FAQ
Are any Tokyo clubs open on Monday?
Yes. T2 SHINJUKU and WARP SHINJUKU are open every night, Monday included. Both are in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, a few minutes apart. TIDE TOKYO and CLUB VIZEL are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Expect a quiet floor before midnight.
Are Tokyo clubs cheaper on weekdays?
Yes. At every partner club, men pay at least ¥1,000 less at the door on a weekday, and at T2 and WARP after midnight it’s about half. Weekday door prices for men run ¥1,000–¥2,500, against ¥2,000–¥4,000 on Friday and Saturday. Women pay ¥0–¥1,000 on weekdays. Sunday is priced like a weekday, unless Monday is a holiday.
What's the best weeknight to go out in Tokyo?
Thursday. It has enough people to feel like a night out while still costing weekday prices. Wednesday is good in Shibuya because of VIZEL’s all-you-can-drink entry.
Does the guest pass work on weekdays?
On nights when the club is open and issuing it, yes, but what it gives you varies. For example, men at T2 save ¥800 after midnight and nothing before. At WARP the price stays ¥1,000 but you get two drinks before midnight. At TIDE you get an extra drink rather than a lower price. VIZEL’s Wednesday is the same price either way.
Will the club be empty on a weeknight?
Not empty, but quieter. Monday and Tuesday before midnight can feel thin. If you want a fuller room, go Thursday, arrive after 11 p.m., and stick to Kabukicho, where you can walk to the next club if the first is too quiet.
